A little. I haven't seen any celebration in a long time.

Why's that?

We've been embroiled in a war for months now. I think there are festivals in some of the cities, but it's been strictly business where I've been holed up.

[darkholder]

[a small pause, then a nod.]

...I see. Is that what brought you here?

I assume so. I don't remember my death, but I was in danger nearly at every moment.

[ But anyway, ] Are you familiar with these sorts of festivals?

[darkholder]

[curious, but she doesn't push.]

I lived in a fairly small country, so nothing like this, no.

What sort of festivals did you have then?

[ curious, unlike neverah, he will be nosy... ]

Mostly religious celebrations.

[don't worry she will be plenty nosy about other things. anyways, for whatever reason, her skin goes a little steely when she says that.]

And yours, before the war?

We had a few, harvest festivals, yuletide festivals... we have one for love as well, but it's all forms, not just romantic.

I can't imagine why it would be for only romantic love.

[she knows nothing of valentines day yet

but once she notices the tree, she moves towards it, curious about the boxes on the ground.]

Well, romantic love is pretty titillating to most people.

It could be... Things here are strange.

[but she does still seem curious, taking a step closer so she can inspect them.]

Some kind of serpent?

Ever heard of dragons?

I haven't seen one, though.

Well, wyverns aren't exactly that... They only have two legs for one.

In any case, it's pretty common where I grew up for them to be used in place of horses.

[darkholder]

Can you fly on them?

[midway]

You can. It's much faster to travel that way.

Though the downside is you can't carry much cargo.

[darkholder]

Ah - because they can't take much weight, I assume?

[midway]

That's right. Plus, if you lose something... It's gone for good. The road's a lot further.
