i'm kidding he's too shaken up to think about leaving right now. he's just hanging out, wincing as he tries to move his legs to sit comfortably. who knew burns hurt this much? ]

[ oh laurence... the vibes are concerned as he wanders in and to his bed ]

Hey Laurence, are those pain killers doing their job?

[ a little blip of surprise, but he nods. ]

Yeah... I think they're starting to.

Hm? What's that surprise for?

...Nothing. I'm just... not used to so many people visiting me like this.

Not used to getting hurt?

Not really. Just small things from being stupid on sports days or from a fight. Nothing like... whatever he hit me with.

That's a good thing. Nothing that happened here is exactly normal.

And hopefully it doesn't become any more normal going forward.

[ that’s part of what makes it so frustrating? it’s so insane but they can’t do anything to stop it? ]
