It was justice. What I did was right, and necessary, but I did hurt people. I did drag them into a conflict they may not have wanted, despite it being the only choice we had. And I was no longer in control of myself. I was left to be judged by him, and I told him I would accept that judgment, either way.

I meant what I said. Relationships are a distraction from the cause.
Not to mention I think it sends a fairly clear signal from someone when they choose to execute you.
