if he looks up, the source of said noise becomes very obvious - taair has clearly clambered up there, and appears to be making a little noise? it sounds like a bird call. his emotions are very focused, but under that, there's a constant thread of curiosity and wonder.
he probably should not be climbing things but it's too late now ]
